Indirect calculation of the range area for geological parameters

Abstract

The study presents a new calculation method of the range area for geological parameters. The bases of this method
involve directional variances. The author initiates the idea of directional variance. With the help of this new method it may
be possible to determine the range area in such cases when the calculation of directional semivariograms is impossible.
The conditions for the application of this method require the joint presence of geometrical and zonal anisotropy in the
examination of the geological parameter.
