Adalékok egy miocén korallfaj ismeretéhez
Abstract
Trochocyathus affinis Reuss, 1872 (Miocene, Austria) is a primary junior homonym of Trochocyathus affinis Reuss, 1870 (Eocene, Hungary). The substitutional name, Trochocyathus affinitatus Strand, 1928 (= Trochocyathus affinis Reuss, 1872) remained unnoticed in the literature, so the second substitutional name for Reuss’ Miocene species, Trochocyathus majzoni Hegedűs, 1952 is a junior synonym of T. affinitatus Strand, 1928.
Trochocyathus affinitatus was widespread in the Badenian (Langhian, Middle Miocene) Central Paratethys, it is known from Austria, Croatia, Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Romania. In the Hungarian part of the Pannonian Basin system, the species appears in the North Hungarian Mountains (Börzsöny, Bükk) but unknown in the southern part of the country (Bakony and Mecsek mountains).
