Article review: Negative social ties as emerging risk factors for accelerated aging, inflammation, and multimorbidity

Abstract

This study examines issues that are well known in Hungary and are particularly significant from public health, sociological, psychological, and health policy perspectives: it is an excellent resource for professionals studying the relationship between health inequalities, the social environment, stress, and aging. It is also particularly well-suited for educational purposes, as it clearly demonstrates that a harmful social environment is not merely a psychological burden but can also have demonstrable physical consequences.
