Abstract
In the field of public health, the socio-ecological model of health has been used since the 1980s, which takes into account the physical, social and economic determinants of health at both the individual and population levels, with a focus on the need for multiple interventions from families to workplaces to government policies and services. This approach encourages collaboration between stakeholders, including community members, organisations, policy makers and researchers to address problems holistically.
