Multi-Hazard Events training in Vas county
Abstract
Multi-hazards are situations in which several threats or risks occur simultaneously and interact with each other, reinforcing or changing their mechanisms of action. Multi-hazard events training aims to prepare professionals, local authorities, public services and the public involved in and contributing to disaster response to deal with such hazards. This type of training is essential to ensure a rapid and effective response, as the combination of multiple hazards presents complex tasks and challenges.
In Vas County, such training was provided in the framework of the Interreg Central Europe project "LOCALIENCE" for the staff of the Vas County Disaster Managemet Directorate, as well as for members of partner and cooperating bodies and organisations during the exercises. The training sessions were supported by a manual and an educational material produced by the organisations participating in the project.
