Disaster victim identification in South-East Asia
Abstract
This paper is on the disaster victim identification teams, so called DVI Units, law enforcement and forensic medicin based units, in the South-East Asian region. DVI is one standing committee of the Interpol; it issues DVI Guide to help member countires and in case of mass disaser it coordinates the victim identification efforts of the participating countries. In this article the existing DVI Units will be shown in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, South-Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong. There is no unit what fit the Interpol standards in Japan and India.
