Developement and operation of in-service training in the water sector I.

Abstract

The importance of water has greatly increased these days. The risk factors caused by nature related to water carry a kind of duality. We need to tackle the phenomenon of ‘lots of water’ for thousands of times, through floods, and we also need to address the issue of ‘scarcity of water’ in drought, which is having a significant impact on economic growth and decline.  The effects of climate change are inducing changes in society, the economy and, consequently, the
education system. In the present study, the authors draw attention to the importance of developing water education through the international and domestic significance of water. In the first part of the three-part article series, we describe the legal background of the development of the water sector training system, in addition to the expectations of the National Water Strategy Guidelines towards education.
