Improvement of safety management systems: safety performance measurement
Abstract
One of the most important instrument for preventing of major accidents involving dangerous substances is the effective operation of the safety management system. In this article the author outlines the actual challenges associated with the measurement of safety performance and his proposals for overcoming them.
