Művészeti programok és művészetterápia börtönkörnyezetben
Absztrakt
A művészet mint kreatív kifejezésmód hosszú múltra tekint vissza, és alapvető alkotóeleme a börtönkörnyezetnek. A fogvatartottak alkotásai tetten érhetők többek között falfestményekben, illetve rajzokban, tetoválásokban, kidekorált borítékokban, zsebkendőkben. Ezek a művészi megnyilvánulások tulajdonképpen a „szökés” lehetőségét biztosítják a fogvatartottaknak a zárt, ingerszegény közegből és az agresszió, a felgyülemlett impulzusok feloldására, azoktól való megtisztulásra is szolgálnak. Brandreth megfogalmazásával élve, a művészet népszerűsége a büntetés-végrehajtási intézetekben annak is köszönhető, hogy a fogvatartottak nemcsak a tanárok, hanem a többi fogvatartott elismerését is kivívhatják, így megszűnnek „csak egy másik fogvatartott lenni”. A művészet ezen túlmenően képes humanizálni a börtönkörnyezetet, így magukat a fogvatartottakat, illetve a börtönszemélyzetet is.
