The Correctional Review is committed to upholding academic integrity, originality, and ethical publication standards. To this end, we subject all submitted manuscripts to plagiarism checks and, when necessary, also examine the use of artificial intelligence (AI). By applying plagiarism and AI detection procedures, the Correctional Review strives to uphold academic integrity and ensure the transparency, credibility, and fairness of the publication process.

Plagiarism Check

The editorial board reviews manuscripts using a plagiarism detection system. The purpose of this review is to identify text matches, self-plagiarism, improper citations, and unauthorized or duplicate publications.

The decision is not based solely on similarity metrics; the results are always evaluated by an editor. In cases of significant, inadequately cited overlap, authors may be asked to provide corrections or explanations; in serious cases, the manuscript may be rejected.

Use of Artificial Intelligence

The journal permits the limited use of AI-based tools, such as for linguistic or technical editing purposes; however, authors remain responsible for the entire content of the manuscript in all cases.

Authors must disclose any use of AI tools and briefly describe their purpose.

The editorial board may also use AI-detection tools as needed. The results of these tools may warrant a request for further explanation or revision; furthermore, if a substantial, defining part of the manuscript contains text generated by artificial intelligence—without proper disclosure—the editorial board may decide to reject the manuscript.
