Summary of Zsuzsanna Fábián’s habilitation dissertation entitled „Nomi propri italiani nell’ungherrese [Italian proper names in the Hungarian language]”
This summary gives the conclusions of Zsuzsanna Fábián’s habilitation dissertation entitled „Nomi propri italiani nell’ungherrese [Italian proper names in the Hungarian language]”. The thesis summarises the results of the author’s onomastic work performed between 1991 and 2006. Based on interonomastic approach, Zsuzsanna Fábián examines the linguistic effects of proper names in the contact processes of the Hungarian and the Italian language; the borrowings of name types and actual names; the appearance of Italian names in Hungarian.
