Absztrakt

Names and their Environment. Report on the 25^th International Congress of Onomastic Sciences  

The International Council of Onomastic Sciences (ICOS) organized its twenty-fifth congress entitled Names and their Environment in Glasgow, from the 24^th to the 29^th of August, 2014. The approximately 250 participants in the congress were able to present the results of their recent research on these various topics: theory of names, cognitive aspects in Onomastics, personal names, place names, urbanonyms, standardization of names, names in language contact, digital names, names in commerce, names in literature; in seven sessions of the congress: Anthroponomastics; Toponomastics; Socioonomastics; Theory/Methodology; Literary Onomastics; Commercial Names; Other Names.
