A research on environmentally friendly logistics solutions through the example of the CORCAP project
Abstract
One of the links between European environment and transport policy is the potential for reducing emissions from the freight transport sector. The goal is to make the logistics and transportation industry greener. With this objective, the European Union has set up several dedicated initiatives. The CORCAP project, which deals with the regional development
of the European transport network, focuses on improving connections between German seaports and the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. The new strategies and action plans developed in the course of the project will help to exploit new, environmentally friendly opportunities for regional development and logistics. In addition, by supporting energy
reduction, they mitigate adverse environmental impacts by prioritizing environmentally friendly modes of transport.
