Investigation of the possibility of using an overhanging arm support structure for the perception sensor system to be developed on the ZalaZONE test track
Abstract
Sensor systems on infrastructure can improve autonomous driving safety by providing more accurate traffic measurements than onboard sensors, but their calibration can be disrupted by vibrations in strong winds. Since rigidly fixing the support structures is costly and sometimes impractical, software-based stabilization is needed, and this article explores the issue's severity and potential solutions for compensating these vibrations.
