"Healthy kitchen"
Workplace health promotion programme element in the National Institute for Health Development
Abstract
Workplace health promotion is a continuous and planned activity which makes working and living conditions healthier and enables employees to take part in the promotion of their own health. The primary aim is to improve and develop the physical, mental and social well-being of employees, to prevent avoidable diseases and mortality through workplace health promotion programmes, based on the active participation of decision makers and employees. In autumn 2016, several successive health promotion programme elements have been implemented, and are still under implementation at the moment, including “Healthy kitchen” led by a dietician of the Institute. This programme focuses on knowledge transfer about healthy diet, by providing brief and credible professional information, and at the same time, presenting how to prepare meals, actively involving participants into the preparations and tasting.
