Abstract

In this study we display the complex system of evaluation and accreditation for the inmate reintegration programs used by the English Prison Service. We address the procedural issues and describe the system of criteria examined during the accreditation. After the introduction of the English system we highlight some prisoner reintegration programs that we believe to be interesting and even worth considering for domestic purposes. Following this, we briefly describe the current state and problems of the Register used for the reintegration programs by the Hungarian Prison Service, and we show in a nutshell some options for the possible directions of future development.
