Kényszergyógykezeltek utógondozása – Jó gyakorlat egy bentlakásos pszichiátriai intézetben

Abstract

In my paper I argue that it would be necessary to extend (differentiate) the legal institutions of the aftercare in the interest of prisoners under compulsory treatment, so that they could also be able to enlist, as according to the letter of the law these psychiatric patients are desired to be integrated back into society. This could stop that sad trend, that after the termination of the compulsory treatment more and more patients are not returning into their communities and to their families, but since the lack of intact social safety net they are placed into Social Caring Mind Institutions, where their exclusion from society becomes lasting and virtually irreversible. Such a Social Mind Institute functions at Szentgotthárd. Due to its size this Institute treats and cares for the most patients formerly under compulsory treatment released from the Forensic Psychiatric Mental Institution. Therefore thanks to our own efforts in this Institution during the last years we introduced an aftercare system in order to offer our patients a last chance for a real reintegration into society or at least for a higher quality of life.
