Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI)

APIS follows the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) regarding the use of generative AI tools in scholarly publishing.

Authors may use generative AI tools for language editing, translation, formatting assistance, or similar support functions. The use of such tools must be disclosed in the manuscript.

Generative AI systems cannot be listed as authors and cannot assume responsibility for the content of a manuscript. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, validity, citations, ethical compliance, and scientific integrity of all submitted material.

Authors should provide a brief disclosure statement identifying the AI tool used and the purpose of its use.
