The Economic Viability Characteristics of Electric Passenger Vehicles and Their Infrastructure-Dependent Limitations on Adoption in the Budapest Metropolitan Area
Abstract
This study examines the trends in electromobility in Budapest and its metropolitan area from economic and transportation perspectives. The aim of the analysis was to compare the operating costs of passenger vehicles equipped with electric and internal combustion engines, as well as to evaluate the economic return on investment of electric propulsion. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the extent of the economic benefits is significantly influenced by usage conditions and regional characteristics.
