The role of powertrain and vehicle design in reducing energy consumption in road transport
Abstract
The design of passenger cars in Europe has undergone major changes in recent years, influenced by social, economic and regulatory factors. Changing user needs, stricter environmental and safety regulations have fundamentally shaped the structural characteristics of vehicles and their powertrains. The research examines the relationships between key vehicle parameters and fuel consumption using real-world on-road consumption data.

The journal archives all published articles, and the journal's owner, the Hungarian Society of Transportation Sciences, will continue to operate the database even if the journal ceases to be published.
