Options for modernising the domestic public passenger transport discount scheme
Abstract
The purpose of the study is to review the discount system related to trips made within the framework of public passenger transport services. In this context, the effective discount system is under scrutiny, including the discount rates and legal titles providing discounts. The authors of the article strive to reveal what modifications may be necessary in the current discount system in order for it to function more effectively, and they also make a proposal so that the needy social strata really benefit from the discounts. In the form of in-depth interviews, the research examines the opinions of representatives of standard service providers, customers and passenger organizations, which serves as an input for the main findings
of the study.
