Experiences in Hungarian rail passenger transport during and after the pandemic
Abstract
The past period has caused many difficulties for the operators and users of services alike. The management of the pandemic and the technical, human, economic, and epidemiological impact of taking the required and necessary measures has been a novelty in many cases. Possible solutions and methods of solving case-by-case problems had to be sought. This has been achieved with varying degrees of success. This brief overview seeks to identify the reasons for the successes and failures of individual sub-tasks. It also outlines possible solutions by highlighting the apparent shortcomings. The aim is to improve the quality of rail services through the developments.
