Abstract

The cost values calculated using the methodology show, on the one hand, that the operation of pure electric vehicles is more advantageous from an economic point of view for both the client and the service provider over the entire duration of the contract (10 years) than the operation of diesel buses. On the other hand, it can be said that the accounting system and the economic operating environment very often used in local transport are less attractive and profitable for the service provider and make the transport offer less sustainable and predictable. Even if alternative propulsion vehicles have been found to have better economic indicators, it is also of utmost importance that transport companies are adequately remunerated for their service.
