Traffic Safety and Traffic Culture Index (KB-KKI), 2024
Abstract
On behalf of the Traffic Science Association, a nationally representative telephone survey of 1,000 people on traffic culture and social assessment of traffic safety in Hungary was conducted in spring 2024 as part of the national Traffic Culture Day event series to create a scientific basis for the event. As part of the survey, an attempt was made to create the Traffic Safety and Traffic Culture Index (KB-KKI) for the first time in Hungary. By adapting the Traffic Safety Culture Index, which has been published annually in the United States for more than a decade, the
authors of the study strove to create a first experimental index considering Hungarian traffic habits.
