Autonomous vehicles, self-driving cars: What do the public think?
Abstract
In this article, the authors discuss questions relating to self-driving vehicles from user-driven aspects. What attitudes can we expect in the topic of self-driving vehicles? According to the results of the research, the Hungarian population is still in the early stages of getting accustomed to autonomous vehicles and their effects in traffic. It is, however, already detectable that a more inclusive social environment, the substantive clarification of safety issues and an expected “guaranteed experience” can be stronger drivers in winning over potential users than the practicality and efficiency of autonomous vehicles.
