Assessment of risk factors affecting the safety level of designated pedestrian crossings
Abstract
In Hungary, pedestrian accidents have accounted for approximately one seventh of all road accidents with personal injury in recent years. A significant proportion of pedestrian accidents occur at designated pedestrian crossings. The frequency of occurrence justifies the identification and multi-aspect ranking of risk factors that may negatively affect the level of traffic safety at designated pedestrian crossings within residential areas.References
