Abstract

The professional summary report of the European Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel (EPUAP) Congress in Prague presents the international trends and best practices for those interested in patient safety, nosocomial harm and chronic wound care. The implementation of new technologies and approaches used in the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers in domestic practice is necessary and timely, since our domestic guideline entitled "Risk assessment, prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers" expired in 2013. The three-day professional event featured technical, therapeutic and organizational novelties in the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers and injuries.
