Article review: Communication with children and adolescents about the diagnosis of their own life-threatening condition

Achieving effective doctor-patient communication is important when treating patients, but it is particularly important with children and adolescents. Effective and appropriate communication between professionals can lead to greater trust and therefore better patient cooperation, which can ultimately lead to more successful treatment.
