Nyelvi akadályok a többnyelvű egészségügyi környezetben és helyzetkép a magyarországi gyakorlatról
Absztrakt
A nemzetközi vándorlás és a társadalmak kulturális és nyelvi összetételének változása következtében a magyar egészségügyben is egyre gyakoribbak a nyelvi akadályok, amelyek veszélyeztetik a hatékony kommunikációt, a betegbiztonságot, az ellátás minőségét és a betegek jogainak érvényesülését. A tanulmány nyolc esettanulmányon keresztül mutatja be a nyelvi különbségekből eredő problémák sokféleségét, majd nemzetközi szakirodalmi példák alapján vázolja a lehetséges megoldásokat. Ezt követően elemzi a magyarországi helyzetet: áttekinti a nyelvpolitikai kereteket, a tolmácsszolgáltatások és többnyelvű egészségügyi dokumentumok hiányát, valamint az egészségügyi szakemberek által alkalmazott ad hoc közléstechnikai stratégiákat. Külön figyelmet kap a szakképzett nyelvi szakemberek alacsony száma az egészségügyi ellátásban és ennek lehetséges okai. Végül bemutatjuk a 2023-ban alakult Nyelvi segítségnyújtás a magyarországi egészségügyi ellátásban: idegen nyelvű fordításokkal a hatékony kommunikáció érdekében (NYESME) kutatócsoportot, amely a nyelvi segítségnyújtás rendszerszintű megoldásán dolgozik. A tanulmány kiemeli, hogy a nyelvi akadályok csökkentése nemcsak etikai, hanem gazdasági és jogi szempontból is elengedhetetlen az egészségügyi ellátás hatékonyságának javításához.
