Absztrakt
Jelen tanulmány John Locke (1637‒1704), a korai felvilágosodás kiemelkedő filozófusa legfontosabb biblikus teológiai művéből, a The Reasonableness of Christianity as Delivered in the Scriptures (1695) című munkájából a 4‒6. fejezetről készült magyar fordítást vezeti be (lásd a Forrás rovatban). A Reasonableness of Christianity történeti hátterét és a Locke életművében, valamint a korszak kulturális kontextusában való elhelyezkedését a korábban már megjelent (Vallástudományi Szemle 2022/1.) első három fejezet előszava ismerteti, így ezekre a kérdésekre itt csak röviden reflektálunk.
