Abstract

Workplace mobility is at the centre of the developments of the EU research project called MOVECIT, which supports the mobility of city which supports commuting citizens. To facilitate this, a pilot web application has been developed that makes it possible to make conscious and sustainable decisions. With the application, different modes of transport (public transport, cycling, walking, car) can be compared on the basis of four attributes, such as travel time, cost of travel, environmental impact and the impact on the health of the traveller. When planning routes, the user can determine their preferences and the weight parameters related to them. A high percentage of users chose sustainable modes of transport when testing the app.
