Abstract

Understanding the connections between workplace processes and employees’ mental health well-being is of particular importance from the point of view of organizational development. This is emphatically important in the case of an institution that occupies a special place in the public education system, such as the pedagogic service, where professionals provide professional support to children and students who require special attention, as well as their parents and teachers, in nine task performance areas (special pedagogic counseling, early development and care; expert counseling; further education and career counseling; physical education; school psychology, preschool psychology; care for gifted children and students; 15/2013. EMMI rendelet 2013). The Workplace Requirements and Resources questionnaire makes it possible to examine the workload of employees, since the concept of „workplace requirements” summarizes the physical, social or organizational factors that increase stress, make it difficult to perform tasks effectively, and in the long term exhaust the coping potential, the „ and workplace resources” help to achieve goals and participate in reducing physical and psychological fatigue. In the study, the results of the Workplace requirements and resources questionnaire filled out by professionals working in the teaching profession of the Somogy County Pedagogical Service will be presented. A total of N=101 people filled out the questionnaire between December 2023 and January 2024. Examining the workload indicator, we can determine that only 9 people (8.9%) of the respondents believe that the level of requirements is higher than the level of resources, according to two people (2%), it is balanced, and 90 people (89.1%) and feeling that you can rely on more resources at work than you perceive the demands, all this is a good prognosis for avoiding burnout.
