Abstract

The authors working in the Hungarian Prison Service Headquarters had an insight into the risk assessing and managing practices of the Croatian Prison Service in November 2015 within the framework of professional experience exchange program. The system has been operating in Croatia for decades and therefore has valuable experiences, however on this topic only few domestic studies are available. This article aims to introduce the Prison Diagnostic Center in Zagreb to the readers and the practices used for the treatment of sex offenders in Lepoglava. The experience gained there by the authors has a particular relevance in connection to the introduction of the Risk Assessment and Management System in Hungary.
