Abstract

The project named “Developing the Activities of the Prison Probation Service” was financially supported by the National Council for Crime Prevention. The aim of the project was to provide training for those – mainly members of the Prison Probation Service – personnel, who are responsible for the reintegration activities. To receive a training very closely related to their work they attended two courses: in the framework of the first course they could learn the methodology of the group sessions, while during the other course they focused on the individual case management. After finishing the courses they applied the learnt knowledge in practice at their workplace: they held group workshops and training sessions as well as doing individual case management. The numbers reached speak for themselves, as during the approximately 4 months test period they reached 423 clients during group sessions and 420 clients with training sessions held on various topics, while on the other hand they reached 553 inmates through individual case management.
