The usage of telecommunication devices in the Prison Service for the purpose of strengthening the efficiency of justice and law enforcement
Abstract
One of the priority functions of the prisons is the transportation of the prisoners to the court, or to any other place determined by the court (for the purpose of criminal or civil litigation or even to a negotiation held on-thespot), to the prosecutor’s office, or transport to any other procedural acts held in connection to any other cases. The transportation and movement of the inmates outside the prison does not only mean a financial burden to the prisons, but also poses a major security risk. Along this line I would like to present the formation and the development of this priority task, to introduce its outstanding significance and to show the continuing decline in the number of costly and dangerous outside-the-prison transportations.
