Innovative ways to develop correctional competencies

Abstract

For my thesis, I have chosen the topic of innovative opportunities for developing competences in penitentiary execution. During the presentation of this topic, I analyze the basic competences required in public service formulated by the leaders of various law enforcement agencies to the officers and non-commissioned officers to be newly appointed. My goal is to provide a comprehensive picture of the possibilities of combining educational methodologies already applied with other theories for both students and instructors participating in law enforcement education. In the thesis, I seek to answer how the application of different educational methodologies is related to leadership competence requirements, taking into account the different generational characteristics.
