Aspects of the exercise of religion by prisoners II. – Experiences of the extended research in 2023
Abstract
This study is an extended version of a preliminary study conducted in 2022, in which the role of the Prison Chaplaincy Service is examined in the light of the prisoners’ faith life, how the recognition of sin and repentance are reflected in the lives of prisoners and how this affects their religiosity, and also the role of the contact with prison chaplains in the endurance of disenfranchisement. We conducted our questionnaire survey involving 320 prisoners in 12 prisons.
