A radikalizációból eredő új kihívások a büntetés-végrehajtásban

Abstract

We can see day by day that the radicalization and the violent extremism have fundamentally changed the editing of news programs. All over Europe, illegal migration and in connection the strengthening presence of some extremist ideologies and groups represent a growing threat for the security policy. Handling these phenomena has come as a new challenge for Hungary and the Hungarian Prison Service. We took part in the establishment of the technical border barriers. As result of the introduction of the legal border closure and the implementation of the immigration custody, a rise in the number of foreign national inmates could be detected. The increasing number of prisoners within the prison service along with the linguistic, cultural and religious differences leads to the need for new risk assessment, regulatory, and management tools. It also requires international and domestic cooperation among law enforcement agencies, experts and NGOs.
