Abstract

In this study the author gives a short overview on the measures enhancing security undertaken by the Hungarian Prison Service in the past one and a half year. The direction of the developments is characterized by unification as well as aim-orientation, and many of them are implemented alongside with the configuration of significant information technologies. Second part of the study presents the provisions and arrangements that are made for the reduction of recidivism, and also the new approach and new direction the Prison Service has set itself.
