The importance of patterns in the conceptual framework of dynamic security
Abstract
Since 2018, the organization has been carrying out intelligence activities, initially by comparing data held in the heterogeneous record systems of the prison service and by performing targeted analytical and evaluation activities with these data. With the establishment of the Intelligence Department in 2020 and the “further development” of the legal framework with effect from 01 January 2023, a complex system of tasks has been created that can support the prevention of risks regarding the security of detention and the prevention of acts constituting insubordination more effectively, with analytical and evaluation activities based on up-to-date human intelligence information. The past years have led to the identification of patterns that make it possible to close security gaps and prevent unlawful activities by detainees.
