Review of the special controls related to the coronavirus epidemic, significance of the utilization and usability of inspections in the context of detention and epidemiological security

Abstract

The coronavirus epidemic that appeared in 2019 was a challenge for the Prison Service in terms of normative public health and epidemiological tasks as well. The outbreak of the epidemic enhanced the epidemiological activity of the Prison Service; it became necessary to take measures in order to prevent infections and to isolate the infected. In the course of its inspection activity, the Service of Inspection and Control examined the implementation and efficiency of these measures, with the help of a system of criteria adapted to the measures taken. The prevention measures developed in the prisons have greatly affected staff members and the prison population and their relatives.
