The impact of prisoner riot on the security of incarceration and national security
Abstract
The main topic of the study is the prisoners riot, as it is the most dangerous extraordinary event that can occur during the execution of the sentences in prisons. The purpose of the study is to examine the most known prisoners riots that took place in the last 40-50 years, mainly abroad, in addition to determine the circumstances that are most likely to cause riots, and as well to present the most effective prevention methods and the way to eradicate them. We carried out the investigation using the method of document analysis, during which we scrutinized the reports on extraordinary events in the Hungarian penitentiary from the late 1950s to the present days, as well as statistical data, and the findings of international research closely related to the topic.
