The contribution of reintegration custody to the social reintegration of prisoner
Abstract
Reintegration custody is a legal institution that effectively serves several purposes of penitentiary enforcement at the same time. Its advantages are immediate and tangible, while its disadvantages can only be perceived later and in the abstract, therefor its wider application is tempting to both the penitentiary system and law enforcement. In this study, we will summarize the aspects which a penitentiary judge takes or may take into account when ordering reintegration custody and allowing the prisoner to leave the designated property. Also, we will outline, how reintegration custody – carried out within the framework of these decisions – contributes to the social reintegration of the prisoner and the achievement of the aims of the sentence.
