Occurrence of Carabus marinalis decorus (Coleoptera: Carabidae) in the Bakony Mountains (West Hungary)
Abstract
The aim of this paper is to estimate the size of the populations of Carabus marginális in the Bakony Mts. The most characteristic habitat of it is the acacia grove where C. marginális proved to be dominant. According to the pitfall trapping investigations (2000-2001) the main activity period seems to be the summer rather than the autumn. The four so far known localities from the Bakony Mts are the following: Bakonybél, Bakonygyirót, Fenyőfő, Veszprémvarsány.
