About the Journal

Magyar Zene (Hungarian Music) is the only musicological journal in Hungarian, and has been in continuous existence since 1960. Four issues are published annually each consisting of 120 pages.

It is arranged under the headings of Articles, Essays, Short contributions, Documenta, Reviews.

To guide foreign readers an English list of contents is given, along with abstracts of the articles and short biographies of the authors. The work of the editor-in-chief is assisted by an editorial board and an advisory board of prominent musicologists.
