Is the Cartel out of the Bag?

Abstract

The article explores the relationship between sustainability and competition policy and evaluates the different possibilities, how to two policies can be reconciled. Both policies are of utmost importance for the governance of society, however they follow obviously different goals. One unexplored argument however is that by enforcing competition policy and thereby promoting efficiencies and market clearance competition policy can substantially optimize the use of scares resources.
