KDTVIZIG: We supervise the waters of three counties

Abstract

In 2025, the Central-Transdanubian Water Directorate (KDTVIZIG) will host the XLII Annual National Conference of the Hungarian Hydrological Society in Székesfehérvár. The large-scale, traditional event planned for July 2025 provides a wonderful opportunity to invite our readers on a journey through time and space to the region of Transdanubia, to the territory of the directorate, presenting our special tasks.

Author Biographies

Henriett Csurgai-Horváthné Kiss, Central Transdanubian Water Directorate

CSURGAI-HORVÁTHNÉ KISS HENRIETT, m.d. geologist (Eötvös Loránd University, Faculty of Natural Sciences, 1999), public procurement officer (OKJ: 52 343 01, 2015). After graduating from university, she participated in the elimination of subsurface hydrocarbon contamination as an engineer for a multinational environmental consulting company. Since 2008, she has been working for the Central Transdanubian Water Directorate and its legal predecessor, initially as an environmental administrator, then as a group leader, and since 2017 as the head of the Project Department established to coordinate the starting KEHOP projects.

Zoltán Oláh, Centra-Transdanubian Water Directorate
ZOLTÁN OLÁH is a civil engineer (Eötvös József College, Faculty of Engineering, 2000), a consultant with a degree in water management administration (National University of Public Service, 2022). Since 2000, he has been a construction manager in the field of civil engineering in construction, and between 2003 and 2005, he was a technical administrator at the Central Transdanubian Environmental Protection Inspectorate. After that, he worked as an asphalt testing engineer in a quality testing laboratory from 2005. Since 2008, he has been a lake regulation administrator and then a group leader in the Central Transdanubian Water  Directorate, and since 2014, he has been the head of the Flood Protection and River Management Department. He is a specialist in the KEHOP projects affecting Lake Balaton and Lake Velence. Deputy Technical Director of the Central Transdanubian Water  Directorate, starting from November 1, 2024.
