Abstract

Nowadays, nutricosmetics becameincreasingly popular beauty products. The relation between beauty care and nutrition has received increasing attention in recent years, both in scientific forums and among consumers. They can be used for improving the results of esthetic procedures- or to correct the quality of skin. Nutricos metics, which are based on a combination of nutrition and cosmetology, are nutritional supplements that act internally to improve the health and appearance of the skin, hair and nails. However, these innovative solutions are not only aimed at the superficial treatment of the skin, but also support the organism as adjuvant treat ments. The effectiveness of aesthetic treatments may be improved as well as the quality of life of patients. Many questions have been raised about their bioavailability and efficacy, which have been answered by research of the last 20 years. In this article, we review and present the most popular and most recent active substances.
