Abstract

The chin and the jawline is the important entity of the harmonious face, because not only impacting physical attractiveness but also influencing self-esteem. The nonsurgical rejuvenation and beautification of that part of the lower face is becoming more frequent. Injectable fillers can reshape the chin and the jawline, lift soft tissues, and improve facial proportions, effectively improving the appearance of the area. It is paramount to understand the facial anatomy and perform a good facial assessment in order to propose a proper aesthetic treatment plan. In this article, we discuss the anatomy of that area, the aging process, the facial assessment, and treatments with fillers of the chin, prejowls and mandibular line and angle with fillers.
