A nők jogai és a vízhez való jog metszéspontjai a globális vízválságban
Absztrakt
A tanulmány a vízhez való jog és a nők jogainak összefonódását vizsgálja a múlt, a jelen és a jövő perspektívájából. Kiindulópontja az a felismerés, hogy a víz nem pusztán kitermelhető erőforrás, hanem élő, szent közjó, amelynek megőrzése és védelme elengedhetetlen az emberi és a természeti jólét fenntartásához. A globális vízválság – amelyet a klímaváltozás, a túlfogyasztás és az igazságtalan erőforrás-elosztás egyaránt súlyosbít – különösen erősen érinti a társadalom legkiszolgáltatottabb rétegeit. A nők és lányok gyakran viselik a vízhiány legsúlyosabb következményeit, hiszen ők felelnek a háztartások vízellátásáért, az élelmiszer-előállítás számos formájáért, valamint a család egészségének fenntartásáért.
Ezzel párhuzamosan ugyanakkor a nők sokszor kimaradnak a vízügyi döntéshozatali és irányítási folyamatokból, ami tovább erősíti a nemek közötti egyenlőtlenségeket. A feminista megközelítés hangsúlyozza, hogy a nők nemcsak a víz elsődleges felhasználói, hanem annak védelmezői és kezelői is, tudásuk és tapasztalataik pedig nélkülözhetetlenek a fenntartható vízgazdálkodás kialakításában. A nemek közötti esélyegyenlőség előmozdítása így nem csupán társadalmi igazságossági kérdés, hanem az ökológiai jogok és a környezeti fenntarthatóság biztosításának alapvető feltétele is. A tanulmány rámutat, hogy a nők aktivizmusa és közösségi szerepvállalása kulcsfontosságú a vízügyi rendszerek átalakításában, ugyanakkor tartós változás csak akkor érhető el, ha a strukturális egyenlőtlenségek felszámolása rendszerszintű reformokkal párosul.
